Story:
Alex had been relatively bored the last week after all the training he put into his own horse and decided he would compete a horse for a different stable for a while. The mare came to his stable for her training just a week earlier and he was more than impressed with her. 
She was a dream to ride and a real sweetheart around the barn too. 

The Drakehest snorted loudly behind him, snot and spit coating the back of his sweater. 
"Not again," Alex grumbled and for the third time since tacking up he wiped himself off with a wet-wipe. It wasn't all the mare, in fact the first time he'd spilt hoof-polish on his jods. The second time he'd burnt a little hole in the top of his riding glove when he'd snuck off for a smoke break. Now he was covered in spit and gooey snot. 

The mare seemed to laugh at him silently, her eyes shining as he cleaned up the last of his mess and walked her out of the stable. She was beautiful and glowed softly in the sunlight. He swung himself up and rode her to the warm up ring. She went to work immediately, unphased by the other horses; unphased by Alex's mood too. In fact, she was starting to grow on him a little. She seemed to know just how to make his mood better- by working perfectly before her dressage class. 
Alex had no doubt that she would do very well. 

Actually he thought she might give his own mare a good run for the money. The horses weren't that different in personality, but the Drakehest sure had a different way about her. A more natural collection, and a prouder appearance overall. Her coat was shiny, and her markings were cute, Alex thought, though he'd prefer something darker. 
The mare collected up nicely under his seat when he asked her, and she paid no mind to the bucking horse that passed either. 
"Good girl," he patted her softly.
"Prrrrrrt," she snorted back and trotted off at his aid, leaving the warm up area excitedly. 

After all,
He only rides the best horses, and she is a stunner.
